Universal Pictures has scored the movie rights to Kate Alice Marshall’s novel “I Am Still Alive” and have set Ben Affleck to star.
The story follows a teenage girl who, after a car crash kills her mother and leaves her injured, is forced to move in with her off-the-grid father (Affleck) in the Canadian wilderness and adapt to a new way of life.
Certain events leave her stranded, far away from any help with only her father’s dog for company, forcing her to discover she’s stronger than ever imagined. Lori Evans Taylor (“Bed Rest”) will adapt the script.
