James Wan’s undersea superhero adventure tale “Aquaman” has launched in China this week, ahead of much of the rest of the world, with the film on track for an $85+ million opening weekend.
That would be the highest opening for a DCEU movie, tracking ahead of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” by 54%, “Justice League” by 69% and more than double “Wonder Woman”.
It also has 85% of the Middle Kingdom market share. “Aquaman” opens in forty more markets this coming Friday, and then in North America on December 21st.
