Actor, comedian, podcaster and “GLOW” star Marc Maron is reportedly in talks to join the Joker origin movie at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Maron will be playing a booking agent on the talk show hosted by Robert De Niro’s character, who winds up booking the man (Joaquin Phoenix) who will become The Joker. Maron ultimately plays a part in driving him mad. Zazie Beets and Frances Conroy co-star, while comedian Bryan Callen has also confirmed he has a small role.
Written by Scott Silver (“The Fighter”) and directed by Todd Philips (“The Hangover”), the $55 million one-off film is set to begin filming this September ahead of a release on October 4th 2019.
