A remake of a Norwegian half-hour comedy, the story follows Annie Landsberg (Emma Stone) and Owen Milgrim (Jonah Hill), two strangers drawn to the late stages of a mysterious three-day pharmaceutical trial – each for their own reasons.
She is disaffected and aimless and trying to mend broken familial relationships. He is the fifth son of wealthy New York industrialists and struggles with a disputed diagnosis of schizophrenia.
Justin Theroux and Sally Field also star in the series created by Patrick Somerville and with every episode directed by Fukunaga.
