Acclaimed “Still Alice” filmmaker Wash Westmoreland returns this year with his next feature film, the Keira Knightley-led biopic “Colette” which screened at Sundance and will be released through Bleecker Street in the U.S. on September 21st.
Knightley plays a young woman who is convinced to ghostwrite a novel for her husband Willy. Little does she know, the novel would go on to be a huge hit in Paris leading many to question just who actually wrote it.
As their marriage crumbles, the pair begins to fight over the idea of a follow-up novel as Colette finds herself attracted to another woman. Dominic West, Denise Gough, Fiona Shaw, Robert Pugh, and Eleanor Tomlinson co-star.
