Microsoft has wrapped up its Xbox E3 2018 Briefing and posted all the trailers showcased during the presentation. The biggest third party ones have already been covered in separate articles, but they’re added here again for convenience along with a bunch of new ones.
Among the big new titles announced there was “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice,” a late 1500s Sengoku Japan set dark tale from “Dark Souls” creators FromSoftware and set for an early 2019 release; a fifth “Devil May Cry”; new gameplay from “Dying Light” and “The Division” sequels; the cute indie “Tunic”; a remaster of “Tales of Vesperia”; and the “Life is Strange 2” spin-off standalone title “The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit”.
Xbox chief Phil Spencer also spoke about the company’s future, saying the same team behind Xbox One X is already developing the next “consoles” which should be with us in a few years. They remain determined to stay in the gaming space and have “a dedication to put our full resources behind Xbox and gaming”. They’re also working on a game-streaming service that will deliver ‘console quality gaming on any device’ as an industry wide push away from physical titles to potential subscription libraries (like a Netflix for gaming) grows.
