Mexican star Eugenio Derbez (“Instructions Not Included,” “Overboard”) has joined the cast of the live-action “Dora the Explorer” film at Paramount Pictures and Walden Media. Details of his character are under wraps.
Isabela Moner is starring as the title character, a teenage version of the young Latina girl in the Nickelodeon series. That show followed a young Latina girl who went on adventures around the world. The movie will center on Dora as a teenager moving to the city and living with her cousin.
James Bobin directs from a script by Nick Stoller. Andrew Form and Brad Fuller are producing and the film has set an August 2nd 2019 release.
