Marvel Studios has announced that the official teaser for Taika Waititi’s “Thor: Love and Thunder” has reached 209 million global views in its first 24 hours.
The makes it the seventh-most viewed movie trailer in 24 hours, behind the teasers for the two most recent “Avengers” films (and the full trailer for ‘Endgame’), “The Lion King,” Amazon’s “Lord of the Rings” series, and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” which is the current record holder with 355.5 million global views on day one back in August last year.
The teaser begins with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy crew and set off on his own quest to find his place in the world after the fall of Asgard. There’s also the reveal of Natalie Portman as the Mighty Thor.
“Thor: Love and Thunder” opens in theaters on July 8th.
