Terrence Malick’s “Radegund” Set For 2018

Filmmaker Terrence Malick has been busy this year with both “Knight of Cups” and the IMAX version of his documentary “Voyage Of Time” hitting screens and both meeting mixed-to-good reviews in the same way his 2012 film “To the Wonder” did.

The filmmaker himself spent much of the Summer and early Fall shooting his WWII drama “Radegund”. Now, in a piece with THR, the film’s producer Philip Lee says the movie is slated for a 2018 release – and that’s assuming Malick stays on his schedule.

August Diehl, Valerie Pachner, Bruno Ganz, Matthias Schoenaerts and Jurgen Prochnow star in the film which is a story of an Austrian man who opposed the Nazis, refused to fight as a conscientious objector and was executed in 1943.

Malick’s Austin music scene drama “Weightless,” which was shot back in 2012, is up next and is targeting a March 17th 2017 release. Whether it will stick to that, we’ll have to wait and see. Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Rooney Mara, Benicio Del Toro, Natalie Portman, Val Kilmer and Holly Hunter are just some of the stars slated to appear in that.
