Sylvester Stallone has made it official, he’s set to take the helm of the “Creed” sequel. Stallone took to Instagram to announce that he’ll be both directing and produce the follow-up, which he also wrote.
Stallone takes over from “Fruitvale Station” and “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler who helmed the first “Creed”. On the flipside Stallone has directed four of the previous “Rocky” films including the second, third, fourth and sixth ones along with starring in them.
Stallone has spent the past few months teasing the return of Dolph Lundgren’s Ivan Drago, the Russian boxer who killed Apollo Creed in the ring in “Rocky IV”. Michael B. Jordan is slated to return in the new film as Adonis Creed.
