A new report at Geeks Worldwide, picking up originally from Production Weekly, indicates “Donnie Darko” and “Southland Tales” director Richard Kelly is set to pen and helm a biopic about beloved “The Twilight Zone” creator Rod Serling.
Serling was an American screenwriter, playwright, television producer, and narrator known for his live television dramas of the 1950s and the science-fiction anthology TV series “The Twilight Zone”.
Serling was active in politics and helped form television industry standards, along with clashing with television executives and sponsors over many issues like censorship, racism, and war.
Kelly hasn’t released a film since 2009’s “The Box” which scored abysmal reviews and poor box-office. Jason Michael Berman and Kevin Turen are reportedly set to produce for Mandalay Pictures.
