Nolan’s “Dunkirk” To Open Earlier On Film

Christopher Nolan remains the poster child for those few holdouts who still love to not only shoot but project on film, and for those who think the same way he’s offering a treat – the release of his new WW2 epic “Dunkirk” a few days early.

Indie Revolver reports that the film is targeting a July 19th 2017 release for cinemas equipped to project films in 35mm and 70mm – a two day head start on the regular release of the film on July 21st.

Though not confirmed at this point, if true it’s the same rollout strategy employed by his science fiction tale “Interstellar”. That film went on to make $675.1 million worldwide.
