Nightline’s Piece On Rogue One’s Resurrections

ABC’s Nightline has provided a behind-the-scenes look at ILM’s process used to recreate the likenesses of Peter Cushing’s Grand Moff Tarkin and Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”.

Extensive digital work was done to recreate the actors as they appeared in the 1977 film rather than recasting them, a decision which has been met with a mixed reaction and not without controversy. Obvious effort went into it, but the results aren’t always convincing. Check out the piece in full below:
