New Harlem Partnership has acquired the film rights to Peter V. Brett’s science-fiction fantasy “The Warded Man”.
The story is set in a distant future where humanity is on the verge of extinction after having lost the night to terrifying demons who possess supernatural powers. Only some ancient and nearly forgotten magical wards can keep them at bay. From the desert emerges a man, his body tattooed with the lost battle wards, to teach humanity to fight back.
‘Warded’ is the first book in Brett’s bestselling Demon Cycle series and the author is adapting the screenplay. Spike Seldin and Hans Futterman are expected to produce.
