Numan Acar, who is reportedly playing the Chameleon in the currently filming “Spider-Man: Far from Home,” appears to have accidentally suggested that Cobie Smulders’ character of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill will be involved in the sequel in some capacity.
Acar posted a selfie from the set with several hashtags that included #cobiesmulders. He has since removed the hashtags from the post without explaining why. Samuel L. Jackson also recently teased on Instagram he’s filming scenes as Nick Fury.
We definitely know that “Spider-Man: Far from Home” takes place after the events of the upcoming fourth “Avengers” and the potential inclusion of both Fury and Hill suggests S.H.I.E.L.D. will be functional in the film in some capacity.
Jake Gyllenhaal serves as the new film’s main villain Mysterio while Michael Keaton will be reprising his role as the Vulture.
