The Marvel Studios Comic Con panel has just wrapped in San Diego with the full official ‘Phase 4’ line-up of films and shows announced covering everything Marvel Studios is doing through to the end of 2021.
But the panel ended on a jaw-dropper. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige revealed Mahershala Ali is the new Blade. Ali came on stage to thunderous applause in Hall H.
No details were given about when the “Blade” movie is coming, only the casting. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige also teased “Black Panther 2,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “Captain Marvel 2” and “The Fantastic Four” but those will arrive in 2022 at the earliest.
Alan Horn, numerous Marvel executives and more were on hand for the presentation which kicked off with a trailer offering a retrospective look at ‘The Infinity Saga’ which Feige dubbed ‘complete’ and adds: “Within a few days, Avengers: Endgame will be the biggest film of all time”.
The films consist of two sequels, a prequel and two originals. A sizzle reel for “Black Widow,” the only film of the five to have been shooting thus far, was shown with much of it consisting of a Scarlett Johannsen and Florence Pugh fight on the streets of Budapest.
