Legendary Keen On Texas Chainsaw Rights

Legendary Entertainment is reportedly in the mix to score the rights to “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” franchise which is once again on the block reports Bloody Disgusting.

At this point, it’s unclear what other studios are trying to secure the rights, but both a television series and more films are expected to be on their way in the future. Legendary’s horror titles in the past have included “Crimson Peak,” “Dracula Untold” and “Trick ‘r Treat”.

Eight ‘Texas Chainsaw films have been made to date since Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original, the most recent was 2017’s prequel “Leatherface” starring Sam Strike, Stephen Dorff and Lili Taylor.
