Jaegar To Star In CBS’ “Tell Me a Story”

Sam Jaeger (“Parenthood”) has been cast in a lead role on the straight-to-series ordered “Tell Me a Story” at CBS All Access.

Written by Kevin Williamson, the serialized drama series takes the world’s most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller in modern day New York City. The action will interweave “The Three Little Pigs,” “Little Red Riding Hood” and “Hansel and Gretel” into an epic and subversive tale.

Jaeger is Tim, a recently widowed single father who moves to New York with his troubled daughter Kayla (Danielle Campbell) to live with his mother Colleen (Kim Cattrall). Desperate to cope with the grief, Tim throws himself into work while grappling with a broken-hearted and increasingly estranged daughter.

James Wolk, Paul Wesley, Billy Magnussen and Dania Ramirez co-star in the series with Liz Friedlander onboard to executive produce and direct the first two episodes. Williamson and Aaron Kaplan will also executive produce.
