Following the film’s move up by a week, the earliest tracking figures for Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War” have come in with the movie headed towards an estimated $235 million domestic opening weekend.
That would easily be the biggest for a Marvel movie to date, beating the $207.4 million of “The Avengers” in 2012, but would still be behind the top opening weekend earner of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” with $247.9 million.
Of course, this is very early tracking figures which do shift with time, often upwards, so ‘Infinity War’ could still easily come out on top of the J.J. Abrams-directed film. Currently, there are no predictions available for the international box office on opening weekend of April 27th-29th.
