Following the success of last year’s “Love Actually” short film reunion for UK charity telethon Red Nose Day, Richard Curtis is re-assembling the cast of his other most famous Brit comedy “Four Weddings and a Funeral” for next year’s edition of the event.
Curtis, who wrote the original film and is the co-founder of the telethon, has written the short “One Red Nose Day And A Wedding” which is currently in production for the 2019 edition of the charity fundraiser. The original film’s director Mike Newell returns as helmer of the new installment which picks up 25 years after the original film.
The returning cast will include Hugh Grant, Andie MacDowell, Kristin Scott Thomas, John Hannah, Rowan Atkinson, James Fleet, David Haig, Sophie Thompson, David Bower, Robin McCaffrey, Anna Chancellor, Rupert Vansittart, Simon Kunz, Sara Crowe and Timothy Walker.
The short will premiere on BBC One on Friday, March 15th.
