Dane DeHaan (“A Cure for Wellness,” “Valerian”) has signed on to star in the new TV series adaptation of the Stephen King novel “Lisey’s Story” for the Apple TV+ service.
The eight-episode event series will follow Lisey (Julianne Moore) two years after the death of her husband Scott Landon (Clive Owen) as she begins facing amazing realities about him that she had repressed and forgotten.
DeHaan plays Jim Dooley, a fan of Scott’s books who holds strong feeling surrounding the author’s unpublished work being released around the world. King is penning and executive producing the series for Warner Bros. Television.
J.J. Abrams will also executive produce, marking his and King’s third collaboration following Hulu’s “11.22.63” and “Castle Rock”.
