With both a third “Guardians of the Galaxy” film and “Cowboy Ninja Viking” both stuck with uncertain futures, actor Chris Pratt’s schedule has freed up – and so he’s in negotiations to star in “Wind River” director Taylor Sheridan’s new feature “Fast” at Warner Bros. Pictures.
Sheridan penned the script which centers on Pratt’s ex-special forces commando who is recruited by the DEA to lead a black ops strike team. Their target? Drug dealers who are being protected by the CIA. Further specifics about the plot are under wraps.
“Harry Potter” franchise producer David Heyman will produce the project which is said to have a budget in the $75 million range and could be the start of a potential franchise. Sheridan is coming off the success of his Paramount Network series “Yellowstone” which has been renewed for a second season, and penning the script for this year’s “Sicario” sequel.
Pratt will be seen in next year’s “The Lego Movie 2” in February and the fourth “Avengers” in May.
