Blumhouse Officially Sets Two “Halloween” Sequels

Blumhouse Officially Sets Two Halloween Sequels

It was previously rumored and now it’s official – two more “Halloween” films are coming.

Universal Pictures has announced an October 16th 2020 release for “Halloween Kills” and an October 15th 2021 release for “Halloween Ends” respectively.

A teaser announcement for the films teases that ‘the saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode isn’t over’ and Jamie Lee Curtis’ voice can be heard over it which suggests the actress is set to return for both. (Update: THR confirms Curtis is returning for both films, as is Nick Castle as The Shape).

The 2018 revival was directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley. Green will direct both ‘Kills’ and ‘Ends’, and both Green and McBride will co-write both scripts. However, the third writer spot will be a revolving door with Scott Teem replacing Fradley on ‘Kills’ and both Paul Brad Logan and Chris Bernier replacing Teem on ‘Ends’.

The projects are expected to be shot back-to-back with production to gear up relatively soon.
