Apple is reportedly in talks with acclaimed animation studio Cartoon Saloon about potentially picking up the tech giant’s first feature-length movie reports Bloomberg.
The report offered no details of what the film might be about, and says it is at least one year away from being released and hasn’t started production yet.
Apple may possibly release the film theatrically and is negotiating rights for the U.S. and other territories. Cartoon Saloon is behind such Oscar-nominated films as “The Secret of Kells,” “Song of the Sea” and “The Breadwinner”.
Apple has greenlit a bunch of original series in recent months, none of which are ready for release or airing yet (almost all aren’t even in production) and aren’t expected to be until sometime next year.
