One of the most anticipated shows returning to screens shortly is the third and apparent final series of BBC Two’s “The Fall” which kicks off in the UK this Thursday.
Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan reprise their roles in the serial killer drama which seems to wrap up DSI Stella Gibson’s hunt for and prosecution of Paul Spector. Creator Allan Cubitt, who has penned every episode and directed most of them, has previously indicated that this is the end of the show.
However, Anderson has indicated she’s happy to return to the role even if another series doesn’t take place for another few years. She tells BBC News: “I think that Allan has been working on this for about five or six year and he might need a bit of a break. I like the idea of maybe revisiting it in a few years.”
The third series of “The Fall” runs five episodes long and once its finishes on BBC Two it will be made immediately available in full on Netflix in select territories, including the United States, from October 29th.
