Lotus Entertainment and Paperchase Films are teaming with producer Marco Vicini on “Superman vs. the KKK,” a film adaptation of Rick Bowers’ 2012 young adult nonfiction novel.
The novel chronicles the creation of a real-life 1946 radio drama in which Superman took on a thinly veiled version of the actual Klan.
The film will primarily focus on a former Klan member who goes undercover in and works with the Anti-Defamation League and the producer of the Superman radio show. The tone is said to be a thriller along the lines of “The Departed” and “Mississippi Burning”.
Katherine Lindberg will adapt the screenplay while Marc Rosen and Dillon Jordan will produce.
