Two interesting rumors popped up today, both were quickly shot down not long afterwards.
The first came from an interview Woody Harrelson conducted with Total Film where he was asked if he wanted to do a “Zombieland” sequel. His response wasn’t hugely enthusiastic – “I’m sure it will happen if everyone does it, but I’m not sure it’s the right thing to do. I don’t feel like a sequels guy… It’s one thing to do it when it came out real good and it made a lot of people laugh, but then to do a sequel… 99 out of 100 are worse by a lot. So I don’t know” he says.
Shortly after that hit the web, the first film’s co-writer Rhett Reese quickly tweeted “Don’t believe all the articles. We will be returning to Zombieland.” This would indicate even if Harrelson doesn’t come back, a sequel seems certain whatever the case.
Also today came word that Producer Dan Lin is pushing forward a complete reboot of the “Tomb Raider” film series and talk emerged that Olivia Wilde was being lined-up to take over the title role of Lara Croft in a “far darker and more serious” movie according to a source via The Fan Carpet.
Reps for the actress however told The Playlist that the story is complete “bunk”. So much for that.
