Zoe Kravitz (“Big Little Lies,” “Mad Max: Fury Road”) has scored the lead role in the upcoming “High Fidelity” TV series for Disney’s streaming service.
The series is a re-imagining of the Nick Hornby’s novel and 2000 feature film adaptation with Kravitz taking on the role played by John Cusack in the movie.
The ten-episode series will tell the story from a female point of view, with Kravitz portraying the ultimate music fan and record store owner who is obsessed with pop culture and top five lists.
Kravitz, Lisa Bonet, Veronic West, Sarah Kucserka, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg will all executive produce. The Disney service launches late next year.
