As part of the Nintendo Direct E3 2019 live stream this morning, the company confirmed that a “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” sequel is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch.
In fact, a teaser trailer for the sequel is out and reveals Link and Zelda exploring dark dungeons, terrifying villains, and offers a glimpse of Hyrule.
No further details about the sequel were forthcoming. The first ‘Breath of the Wild’ released in 2017 on the Nintendo Switch and the Wii U to much acclaim.
It followed Link, who wakes up alone in a world he no longer remembers after a century slumber and no memories. The legendary hero must explore a vast and dangerous land and regain his memories before Hyrule is lost forever.
