After the premiere of a new “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” clip on the Conan O’Brien talk show the other day, director Zack Snyder spoke more about the movie with the host and specifically compared the differences between the new Batmobile and the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” trilogy.
“First of all when we were working on the movie and we were like ‘We’re going to put Batman in the movie, that’s cool,’ I said ‘We need a Batmobile, right?’ Because if you’re the smallest amount of a dork you want to make a Batmobile right? That seems like the first thing you want to do.
I think the cool thing that we try to do, you’ve seen the Chris Nolan Batman movies and the Tumbler, they repurposed a military vehicle. So the cool thing about our Batmobile is it is purpose-built by Bruce Wayne to be the Batmobile, it allows it to be slightly Battier.”
