Tweets this morning hinted that Zac Efron appeared to have hopped onboard the new “Halloween” film from Blumhouse Productions.
The film sees Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role as Laurie Strode and will be joined by Judy Greer as her daughter, Karen. Curtis posted a tweet today showing a second previously unreleased photo from the promo shoot announcing her casting the other month.
Then, Zac Efron posted a photo of himself and Curtis hugging along with the caption “On Michael Myers patrol. #JamieLeeCurtis #BiggestFan #HappyHalloween”. Though not a confirmation, it definitely hinted that he’s in the film in some capacity.
Now Jeff Sneider of Meet the Movie Press has posted a tweet saying “Sorry Zac Efron fans, but right now, the only 2 people cast in Blumhouse’s HALLOWEEN are Jamie Lee Curtis and Judy Greer”.
David Gordon Green helms the project from a script he co-wrote with Danny McBride, while John Carpenter is producing and consulting on the film which will ignore the sequels and serve as a direct sequel to the first.
The new “Halloween” opens October 19th 2018.
