YouTube has given a series order to “Impulse,” a series adaptation of the third novel in Steven Gould’s “Jumper” series.
Maddie Hasson plays Henry, a rebellious 16-year-old girl who has always felt different from her peers and has longed to escape from her seemingly quaint small town.
She soon discovers she has the extraordinary ability to teleport at will. The first novel in the series was previously adapted by filmmaker Doug Liman for the big screen in 2008 with Hayden Christensen and Jamie Bell starring.
Jeffrey Lieber, Jason Horwitch, and Gary Spinelli are writing while David Bartis, Lauren LeFranc and Gene Klein will executive produce. The new series is slated to premiere on subscription-video service YouTube Red in 2018.
