Warner Bros. Animation’s critically acclaimed DC Comics adaptation “Young Justice” was cancelled back in 2013, but today it is getting a new lease on life with the announcement that a third season has begun production.
Fans of the show spent years campaigning to bring back the critically acclaimed series which pulled in 25 million viewers across two seasons when it aired on Cartoon Network.
The original series revolved around Nightwing, Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy and Miss Martian as they set out to prove to their Justice League mentors that they had what it takes to be heroes.
In an official statement, it’s said the new season will deliver “new twists, turns and dangerous new threats for the team, but most importantly, the opportunity for fans to finally continue the adventures of some of their favorite Super Heroes.”
Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman will produce the series which doesn’t have an air date as yet.
