Yelchin Joins “Fright Night” Remake

Anton Yelchin is in talks to star in the remake of 1985 vampire cult classic “Fright Night” says Variety.

Yelchin will play the lead character of Charley Brewster, played by William Ragsdale in the original. The story follows a young man is convinced his new neighbor is a vampire and recruits the help of a classic horror actor turned rundown cable show host to help him prove it.

Craig Gillespie (“Lars and the Real Girl,” “Mr. Woodcock”) is in talks to direct Veteran “Buffy” writer Marti Noxon has penned the script while Mike De Luca and Alison Rosenzweig will produce.
