“Lost” writing alum Javier Grillo-Marxuach is set to pen and executive produce the upcoming “Xena: Warrior Princess” revival in the works at NBC.
The series, still in the development stages, has original series co-creator Rob Tapert and exec producer Sam Raimi returning as executive producers. No casting details have been announced at this time.
In other small screen writing news, Aaron Martin has signed on to pen the pilot and serve as showrunner on CBC’s TV series adaptation of Jeff Lemire’s beloved coming-of-age graphic novel trilogy “Essex County”.
Set in Canada’s Ontario in Detroit-adjacent Essex County, the story explores a family’s origins across generations. Lemire, Christina Piovesan Ted Adams and Chris Staros will also executive produce.
