Xbox Plans Cell Phone-Style Subscriptions?

Xbox Plans Cell Phone Style Subscriptions

Microsoft is reportedly working on Xbox All Access, a new monthly subscription service that bundles an Xbox console, Xbox Live and Game Pass into a single monthly charge with a two-year contract – similar to a mobile phone contract with a handset and service for a set monthly fee and at least two year term.

Windows Central says customers would pay from $22 to $35 a month, depending on which console they wanted, to get an Xbox One or Xbox One X along with the Xbox Live online service and Xbox Game Pass gaming subscription.

The latter gives subscribers unfettered access to the games on its service until the subscription runs out. The report comes as evidence mounts the next incarnation of Xbox, Project Scarlett, will include at least one model that will be a streaming-only console.
