“X-Men: First Class” scribes Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz have entered negotiations to pen the sequel to “Top Gun” for Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions says Variety.
There’s no story details as no script or treatment has yet been penned. No word on either Tony Scott or Tom Cruise’s invovlement either, but the hiring confirms the studio is definitely moving forward with the project.
Jerry Bruchkheimer and David Ellison are set to produce. “The Usual Suspects” scribe Christopher McQuarrie was previously being pursued for the gig around this time last year.
