X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Soon, New Details

Having stolen the show with his brief but memorable turn as Quicksilver in “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” actor Evan Peters seemed a shoe-in to return for the upcoming “X-Men: Apocalypse”. We know he’s in there and is expected to have more screen time in this outing, but the big question is what exactly is his role in the story? Speaking with Details, he suggests it will involve his father Magneto (Michael Fassbender):

“The story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him. It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: He tries to stop him from destroying the world.”

The previous film only hinted at the link between the two which is a key element in the comics, here though it sounds like a much more solid connection.

Meanwhile director Bryan Singer posted a new update on his Instagram page today confirming he has returned to the cutting room with editor John Ottman and the film’s first trailer is due soon. The shot in fact features breakdowns of specific cuts for the teaser along with a new glimpse of James McAvoy’s Professor X.

Back in the cutting room w #johnottman teaser coming soon.
