“X-Files” ‘Home’ Actress Returns In New Role

Karin Konoval is returning to “The X-Files” albeit in a new role.

The acclaimed actress previously appeared on the series in 1996 in the show’s most infamous episode “Home” in which she played a mutant-breeding amputee kept under a bed.

The episode was so notoriously disturbing that FOX declined to re-air it for years, but it has since become one of the show’s most memorable hours.

In the new season, Konoval will play multiple roles in another scary entry with showrunner Chris Carter saying: “While Karen Konoval won’t be reprising her role as the mother-under-the-bed in the fan-favorite episode ‘Home,’ she will be returning in a tour-de-force performance in an early episode. Or, more accurately – performances.”

The ten-episode second season of the revival of “The X-Files,” the eleventh season overall, also guest stars Barbara Hershey and Brian Huskey. It will air sometime in 2018.
