Woody Allen and Spanish production company Mediapro are re-teaming to develop his next film with an eye to shoot in Spain.
Spanish newspaper El Pais (via Deadline) reports that Allen’s team has been scouting locations in the Basque Country. No details of the film’s content have emerged.
News of his new project comes just weeks after Allen filed a $68 million suit against Amazon for cancelling a four-movie production-distribution deal. His most recent work, “A Rainy Day in New York,” remains unseen in Amazon’s vaults with no plans for a release at this time.
Allen and Mediapro previously collaborated on “Midnight in Paris” and “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” which were two of the filmmakers biggest hits.
