Walk in the Woods
“Borat” director Larry Charles has signed on to direct the film adaptation of Bill Bryson’s 1998 travel memoir “A Walk in the Woods” starring Robert Redford and Nick Nolte.
Michael Arndt (“Little Miss Sunshine”) penned the script about a middle-aged travel writer who decides to hike all 2,000 miles of the Appalachian Trail with an old High School friend. [Source: Broadway World]
“Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa” director Jeff Tremaine is next set to helm “Dirt,” the biopic which tells the “coming of age story” of 1980s rock band Motley Crue. Shooting begins early next year.
The film is based on the book which Neil Strauss wrote with the band members and details how they rose from playing local clubs on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip to touring the world as global rock stars. [Source: Fox News]

Scott Rudin and the creators of the Comedy Central series Workaholics are teaming up together for a comedy feature which Kyle Newacheck will direct.
