Wonder Woman To Span Three Time Periods

While the various DC Comics-based interconnected films in the works at Warner Bros. Pictures are all predominantly set in the present day, one exception is the solo “Wonder Woman” film.

Rumors about the movie have long suggested a good portion of it will take place in the past, but where in history specifically hasn’t been specified – at least until today. Den of Geek reports that the film will be set in three distinctive time periods and will feature varied settings.

The first will be on Themyscira, home of the Amazons, during an unspecified time. The second will be in 1916 during the first World War. The third will be in the present day and will also lay some ground work for “Justice League Part One” which opens half a year later.

This would also allow for Diana’s costume to undergo changes throughout the film as see different points in her life. The “Wonder Woman” solo film opens June 23rd 2017.
