The Empire magazine cover story for “Batman v Superman: Wonder Woman” includes one last bit of pertinent information not revealed yesterday.
With “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” long finished filming, and David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” around three-quarters complete, Warners is turning its attention to the next film in its DC Cinematic Universe.
The report says that filming on the stand-alone “Wonder Woman” movie kicks off this Fall in the United Kingdom and will continue on through the winter. It is slated to open in cinemas on June 23rd 2017.
That will be followed by the first “Justice League” film which will begin filming in Spring 2016 ahead of a November 2017 release.
It’s looking like Warners will probably use next year’s Comic Con to push the then soon to open “Suicide Squad,” offer a sizeable preview of “Wonder Woman,” and tease the first footage from “Justice League: Part One”.
