David Slade (“Twilight Saga: Eclipse”) and Robert Schwentke (“RED”) are said to be the two finalists competing to direct the “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” sequel reports The NY Post.
Both have been approved by Fox and will meet with star/producer Hugh Jackman next week, though Slade is apparently the favourite for the gig.
Meanwhile, ever huggable filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro admits a “Hellboy 3” is sometime off and while he’d love to do it, “the heartbreak for me is that I know how it ends and I don’t know if I want to see that ending” he tells MTV News.
Finally, one person also keen to see a sequel to one of his films is actor Hayden Christensen who seems far more geared up for the possibility of a “Jumper” sequel than, well, pretty much anyone.
“It was sort of set up in a way it’s gonna be mother hunting son and possibly even maybe sister hunting brother. We’re talking about it, trying to figure it out” the actor told MTV recently.
