Director Wolfgang Petersen (“Troy,” “The Perfect Storm”) is apparently working on a live-action adaptation of Yasutaka Tsutsui’s acclaimed 1993 novel “Paprika” says Moviehole.
The story tells of a machine that allows therapists to enter their patient’s dreams. When its stolen, all hell breaks loose, and only a young female therapist can stop it: Paprika.
Satoshi Kon previously adapted the property as an anime film in 2006 for Sony Pictures. Petersen is also onboard the alien invasion flick “Uprising”, will produce the fantasy feature “A Spell for Chameleon”.
