Madison Wolfe (“True Detective,” “Trumbo”) and newcomer Lauren Esposito have scored roles in James Wan’s supernatural thriller sequel “The Conjuring 2” at New Line.
Wolfe will play a girl who is experiencing a haunting and her desperate mother (Frances O’Connor) seeks the help of paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren (Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson). Esposito’s role is being kept under wraps.
Wan wrote the screenplay with Chad and Carey Hayes, with revisions by David Leslie Johnson. Peter Safran and Rob Cowan are producing and shooting on the film began this week in Los Angeles and London.
