“Wolf Creek” director Greg McLean is shortly to begin production on a sequel to that 2005 Aussie horror feature that scored acclaim and solid box-office worldwide.
Screen Daily reports that financing on the project is now in place with John Jarrat set to reprise the role of the serial killing pig-shooter Mick Taylor who’ll no doubt be ripping into more unwitting backpackers wandering the West Australian outback.
Casting on other roles will begin shortly while Aaron Sterns (“Rogue”) is helping co-write the screenplay. Pre-production will kick off in December ahead of a shoot in February under McLean’s direction. Roadshow will distribute the film locally while Arclight is pre-selling the film internationally.
