Reese Witherspoon’s Pacific Standard and Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films production companies are teaming to option the film rights to Australian novelist Liane Moriarty’s “Truly Madly Guilty”.
Set over the course of a weekend and following six adults and three kids, the story explores the most fundamental relationships – marriage, sex, parenthood and friendship – through one fateful event. Through it we come to learn how we don’t appreciate the extraordinary in our own lives until it’s too late.
Witherspoon, Kidman, Bruna Papandrea and Per Saari will produce. The project follows in the wake of the two companies teaming for the Jean-Marc Vallee-directed limited HBO series “Big Little Lies” whichi s currently in post production.
