“Titanic” co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are re-teaming for the first time since that epic in DreamWorks and BBC Films “Revolutionary Road” reports Variety.
Winslet’s husband Sam Mendes (“Jarhead,” “Road to Perdition”) will direct the pic, the first time he’s worked with either star, based on the acclaimed 1961 novel by Richard Yates.
Yates’ bleak post-war disillusionment tale follows a seemingly happy suburban couple with two children in the mid-1950s who find themselves caught between their true desires and the pressure to conform – with explosive consequences.
Shooting begins this summer from an adapted screenplay by scribe Justin Haythe. Paramount Pictures will release worldwide.
