Bruce Willis is in talks and Danny Trejo is in negotiations to star in “Violet and Daisy” reports The L.A. Times.
Carey Mulligan (“An Education”) and Saoirse Ronan (“The Lovely Bones”) are seemingly being pursued to star in the project described as a “Thelma and Louise” meets “Superbad” and “Pulp Fiction.”
Oscar-winning “Precious” scribe Geoffrey Fletcher is tipped to direct the film from his own script. Wendy Finerman (“Forrest Gump”) had been set to produce but has pulled out and is being replaced by Bonnie Timmermann.
Shooting aims to kick off this Fall. Willis is still attached to video-game adaptation “Kane & Lynch,” time-travel assassin feature “Looper” and the action film “Catch .44”.
